Majestic Horizons” invites you into an evening of music shaped by imagination, storytelling, and bold artistic vision. The program opens with Alex Prior’s performance version of Handel’s Water Music, reimagined into a cohesive modern narrative that recaptures the scale and theatrical energy of its original royal celebration. Eugene Symphony Principal Trumpet Bryce Schmidt then takes center stage in Oskar Böhme’s virtuosic Trumpet Concerto, showcasing both brilliance and expressive depth. The evening concludes with Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, the “Rhenish,” a sweeping tribute to the beauty and spirit of the Rhine River, bringing the program to a powerful and uplifting close.
