
Accessibility
It is the full intent of the City of Eugene to meet or exceed the specific standard requirements for people with disabilities. We also welcome suggestions about increasing access for people with disabilities. The Hult Center’s commitment to accessibility has always been on the leading edge of the performing arts industry. The Center continues to make improvements to meet and exceed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Accessibility Features Include:
- Elevator to all levels, including parking areas – a limited number of wheelchair-accessible parking spaces are in the Hult Center garage
- Ramp access specifically designed to meet ADA standards at the 6th Avenue entrance and at the Sky Bridge on the 3rd level of the Hult Center garage
- Extra-wide doors at all access points, including restrooms
- Automatic doors at building access ramps and in restrooms on Lower Level
- Restrooms properly equipped for people with accessibility needs
- International symbols identify facilities to people with visual impairments
- Drinking fountains meet ADA requirements
- Personnel have been trained to assist people with accessibility needs
- Infrared Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) available for all performances – available in the Coat Room located across from the elevator on the Lobby Level
- American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation or open captioning offered at some performances – provided upon request with approximately 30 days notice
- Designated accessible seating areas at all levels with good sight lines to the stage available in both auditoriums
- Special entry provisions, including in dressing rooms, for performers with accessibility needs
- Banquet and conference tables meet height requirements for people who use wheelchairs
- Trained service animals welcome
