Eugene Concert Choir, Eugene Vocal Arts, Guest Artists

Join us in celebrating The Eugene Concert Choir’s 50th anniversary with a performance and multi-media retrospective featuring some of our greatest highlights. This concert promises an eclectic variety of music, from popular to classical, which will bring back memories for our loyal patrons and introduce new attendees to the fantastic range of works and styles that have contributed to our success and endurance. We honor those who have made important contributions to our organization and feature cameo appearances of past performers and local performing artists.

In addition to honoring our past, we will look to the future with the world premiere of two compositions we have commissioned especially for this grand 50th Anniversary Celebration concert. The debut of these new pieces by distinguished Black female composer Zanaida Robles and transgender spokesperson and composer Michael Bussewitz-Quarm (she/her) reinforces the Eugene Concert Choir’s steadfast dedication to advancing inclusiveness and awareness through choral music. These compositions will usher in a new era of impactful music and will stand alongside our past projects, Black is Beautiful, In Celebration of Women, and The Unarmed Child, the kinds of work for which we were awarded The American Prize Special Judges Citation for Championing Social Justice.
