The Unsung Heroes of the Hult Center: Meet the Custodial Team

Have you ever stopped to think about what it takes to keep a vibrant cultural hub like the Hult Center running smoothly? It’s not just about the dazzling performances and artistry on display; it’s also about the dedicated custodial team working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that everything is clean, safe, and ready for everyone to enjoy. In this blog, we’d like to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the Hult Center – the custodial team.

 


Behind the Scenes Numbers – In just a six-month period, the custodial team goes through an astonishing number of supplies:

  • 12,320 rolls of toilet paper
  • 1,002 hand towels
  • 236 bottles of hand soap (each containing 1500 ml)

These numbers may seem staggering, but they are a testament to the bustling activity at the Hult Center, which welcomes artists, staff, and patrons day in and day out.

The Dedicated Team –  The custodial team at the Hult Center is comprised of five full-time employees and three temporary employees. They are not your typical janitorial crew; they are a dynamic and versatile group. While their primary focus is maintaining cleanliness and safety, their responsibilities extend far beyond that.

A Jack-of-All-Trades Team – This remarkable team doesn’t just clean; they also take on various other roles. Some of their additional tasks include:

• Painting

• Chair repair

• Wall hole repair

• Setting up and tearing down Holiday lights

• Pressure washing

• Snow removal

• Carpet replacement and installation

Their ability to tackle such a diverse range of tasks makes them an integral part of the Hult Center’s success.

Proud to Serve –  Supervising this exceptional team is a matter of pride for their leader. They take pride in their work, and it’s evident in the results.
