Eugene Vocal Arts, Diane Retallack, Director, will present “In Celebration of Women” as a mix of live and recorded content on Sunday, June 13, at 2:30 pm at the Hult Center Silva Concert Hall. Originally scheduled in 2020 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of a woman’s right to vote, the concert features all women composers from the 12th century to the present. Due to safety in this time of COVID, much of the choral music will be pre-recorded and enhanced with vibrant images projected on the new Hult LED video screens. Live performers appearing onstage are actress Jane VanBoskirk as Oregon suffragist Abigail Scott Duniway and Eleanor Roosevelt, Lexy Wellman as narrator, Nathalie Fortin pianist, and selected singers from Eugene Vocal Arts. Tickets $30 each available through the Hult Center Box Office, 541-682-5000, for limited socially-distanced seating in groups of 2 or 4 only. The production will also be live-streamed.
