Eugene Vocal Arts: A Garden of Bells

Eugene Vocal Arts, the chamber choir of the Eugene Concert Choir organization

Featuring Canadian composer R. Murray Schafer’s A Garden of Bells, this concert will soothe the senses with images and sounds of bells and gardens. Projection screens depicting bells, blooms and colors will enhance the experience of exquisite a cappella choral music, including Benjamin Britten’s Five Flower Songs, Swedish composer Wilhelm Stenhammer’s intimate “Seraglio Garden,” and Schafer’s vocal imitation of an Indonesian Gamelan orchestra. Far from stress and sorrow, Eugene Vocal Arts will welcome our audience back to the concert hall with this gentle, transporting program of loveliness.
